The Honorable Bishop Nathaniel D. Jordan is the Senior Pastor of Apostolic Faith Temple, Inc. (AFT), Columbus, Ohio, where he has labored faithfully for forty years. Bishop Jordan 2019 resigned from the Apostolic Assemblies of Christ as a member and served on the Board of Bishops and the Finance Review Board, as Auxiliary Bishop of the International Women, and as Diocesan Bishop for the Central District Council.
Bishop Jordan began this chapter of his life’s journey when the Holy Spirit compelled him to move from the comfortable surroundings of his home church, The Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, where he served faithfully in various capacities for 25 years. Elder Jordan accepted the offer from Mother K.B. Russell to become the Pastor of a little storefront church
at 1634 East Main St. Elder Jordan held his first service at Apostolic Faith Temple on Sunday, July 5, 1981, with his wife—childhood sweetheart Marta Jean Seward—by his side. Who went on to be with the Lord on May 29, 2016, and is deeply missed by all.
Elder Jordan was installed as pastor on May 2, 1982. He was ordained to the Bishopric on February 28, 1987, by Bishop Raleigh Lee, Presiding Bishop of the Bethesda Christ Community Churches of Cincinnati. At times, Lady Jordan was the only congregate; but he ministered as if he had a full church. Whom the Lord calls, he qualifies. Pastor Jordan’s experience in the business world and the positions he held at his home church helped him navigate the challenges and opportunities of a storefront church and handle the various business affairs and the various personalities of a growing church. God has endowed Bishop Jordan with wisdom, patience, and a heart like His to oversee the AFT flock.
